# Copy value from compare

It would be great to have a button to copy values on compare screen. For example:

Hi @James_Heimbuck, I described it in [Copy (or fallback) variables from one environment to the next - #4 by igas](https://community.doppler.com/t/copy-or-fallback-variables-from-one-environment-to-the-next/169/4)

This will be more of a workaround to make sure we don’t have broken environments.

Two other features that could help are [Duplicating a Config](https://docs.doppler.com/docs/branch-configs#duplicating-a-config) if you are starting a config from scratch and [Import from another config](https://docs.doppler.com/docs/secrets#importing-from-another-config).
